I don't know you and never will, but I thought I'd add a comment. Last year, a friend of mine married a woman (Japanese) who had a history of cheating on him. A couple of weeks ago they got divorced. She cheated on him. Again. With the guy who was there when he proposed to her. My buddy wouldn't have known except that guy's wife and my buddy pieced it together. Be happy you didn't go through this and be sure to stay away from this guy in the future. PS: The excuses he told you were just to say he can tell you anything and you'll believe him.
