Dinnerparty at the japanese ambassador’s

Yesterday I went to a dinnerparty at the japanese ambassador’s place in Copenhagen.
He lives in a G I A N T house!
It was really amazing there, and they were all very nice!

Friday the 13th

Today is friday the 13th…A day which makes most people think of scary or bad things…
Like today is the most unlucky day of all, and the day that has been used for several horror movies….
What makes this day so special? Why is this day so extraordinary unlucky just because it is a friday, and it happens to be the 13th?

I guess superstition has a lot to do with the number 13…it always appears to be a very unlucky number, and in ghost stories and folklore it often occurs as a cursed number…

Let us see what Wikipedia the allknowing has to say about this subject:

Before the 19th century, though the number 13 was considered unlucky, and Friday was considered unlucky, there was no link between them. The first documented mention of a “Friday the 13th” is generally listed as occurring in the early 1900s.

However, documentation aside, many popular stories exist about the origin of the concept:

• The Last Supper, with stories that Judas was the thirteenth guest, and that the Crucifixion of Jesus occurred Friday.
• That the biblical Eve offered the fruit to Adam on a Friday, and that the slaying of Abel happened on a Friday (though the Bible does not identify the days of the week when these events occurred).
• That it started on Friday, October 13, 1307, the date that many Knights Templar were simultaneously arrested in France, by agents of King Philip IV.

However, historically, there is no true date that the Friday the 13th superstition can be linked to.

In the case of Greece, Tuesday, April 13, 1204 was the date that Constantinople was sacked by the crusaders of the fourth crusade. The first ever fall of the richest then Christian city, and the looting that followed, allegedly gave Tuesday 13 its bad meaning. Ironically enough, Constantinople fell for the second time in its history on Tuesday, May 29, 1453, to the Ottoman Turks, a date that puts an end to the Byzantine empire, and to Greek sovereignty for several centuries, and therefore reinforcing Tuesday as an unlucky day in the Greek world.

Many modern stories (including The Da Vinci Code) claim that when King Philip IV had many Templars simultaneously arrested on October 13, 1307, that started the legend of the unlucky Friday the 13th. However, closer examination shows that though the number 13 was indeed considered historically unlucky, the actual association of Friday and 13 seems to be an invention from the early 1900s

So there you have it folks…wikipedia has spoken…

Anyways put that aside…how can a friday be unlucky?? it is the first day of the weekend, you can stay up as late as you want, you can go out to party, you can watch a movie…and the 13th? well, for some reason the number is considered very unlucky, but it happens to be my lucky number….

So I am counting on having a very nice and happy friday the 13th!

Moridin

Today Eivind went to a ninjutsu camp….
and I stayed home…at 10 am I was invited over to my dear friend and soul-mate Moridin’s house. It was really nice to get out of this place. I hate being here when Eivind isn’t here.
It was so nice to see my dear Moridin again! I had really missed talking with him and playing fun games.

He has all the newest play console, PS3, Xbox360 and Nintendo Wii.
So we tried out the Wii sports games, I won at bowling, I’m really good at Wii bowling…but I suck at bowling in real life XD
And then we tried the other games…and I lost big time, haha, he was better in all the other categories…and the boxing game….don’t get me started, it was hard…and I think I twisted something in my back XD

But other than that we had a really good time.  After all it has been more than a year since I last saw him!
Thats a long time for soul-mates to be apart…

I hope I will see him again soon…too bad one’s soul-mate has to live in another country….

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows

Finally, the day we all have been waiting for with great expectations, for a year, is finally drawing near.
On July 7th 2007 “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows” will be released.
This is the last book of the Harry Potter series, the final, there will be no more after this. Oh have I been longing for this day to come, to be able to finally read the final book. For about 8 years now I have been hooked on the Harry Potter universe. It all started when I at christmas 1999 got the all new Harry Potter And the philosofers stone as a present. I started reading it, but the first chapter didn’t really catch me…but then I sat down and concentrated on getting through it, and all of a sudden, I was hooked. One chapter took the next and before I had a chance to think twice I was reading the second book. And then the third came, and the fourth came and I was anticipating it with glee. When the fifth came I had been waiting with so much anticipacy that I didn’t do anything but read for days after purchasing my copy of the book.
When the release date of the 6th book in 2006 neared, I was so excited that I started reading book number 5 again, just to catch up and be sure I remembered everything correctly. And the day it was released they held a release sale at a bookshop near me, and at midnight they started selling the books. I was the 7th to buy the book in that shop! People were stampeeding in order to get to it first, it was some fight, and I hurried off with my precious under one arm, eager to get home and start reading.

This year is really going to be something. Oh I can hardly wait! En epic story is nearing an end, what will happen??
Is dumbledore really dead? Will Harry be able to defeat evil Voldemort? Who will die next? Will Harry survive? What about Ron and Hermione, will they get eachother this time? Will one of them die? Ohhh the suspense is killing me…..

I am already preparing for the days where I will slump into a corner of my sofa, with a big glass of Cola by my side and a bag of candy, just disappearing into the last of the adventures of Harry Potter, Ron and Hermione. Oh it is going to be great!!!

The only difference of these to versions of the book, is the cover…the adult version is made, so that adults won’t have to be embarrased when someone catch them reading a childrens book …. oh really stop it!! What is it with people today…geeez!
Ah anyways, I am very much looking forward to be reading the book…no matter what cover it may have.

For some time now, it has been a nice spring weather, the sun was out everyday..Flowers and trees started to bloom, the days are becomming longer…the spring came early this year, we thought, its only april and a couple of days ago, I even started to think about bringing out my summer clothes.. But…all good things come to end..what met me when I woke up this morning, made me really annoyed. Snow…everywhere, and suddenly rain too…oh how nice….nothing to start the day with but a nice cold rainy day…

What is going on with the weather?
I remember a time where the weather fitted the seasons.Spring had rain and sun getting warmer everyday,  Summer came with sun and heat,  the fall came with colder days and Winter came with snow and cold…
It seems the seasons are changing entirely…its almost like spring has become winter, summer has become spring,  fall has become summer and winter  has become fall…this is so strange…

Maybe there is something about the Global Warming theory anyway…I wonder what is going to happen in the future? Nobody knows really…

All I know for sure is that this weather really pisses me off, and it totally ruins my health. The sudden changes all the time makes me ill, I go from one illness to the other and I have a constant cold.

Atleast I can comfort myself by sitting infront of a nice cozy fireplace and getting a nice neck massage from my dearest love.

Supernatural reviews…

I must admit, I never thought I’d do reviews on this blog, but I got inspired by the blogger Byakuya, with all her anime reviews..!
So this my very first review I will dedicate to a TV show on which I stumbled across the other day while browsing thru All of TV.net. The show is called Supernatural and it is about two brothers who were brought up by their father to become hunters of the evil supernatural beings, that kills people. It all started when they were small, Sam was just a baby, and Dean was about 5 years old. One night when they were all asleep, a supernatural being slips into the house, mom wakes up because she hears the baby alarm, and goes in to check on baby Sam, but she sees her husband standing by the cradle saying “shh” to her when she asks him if Sam is hungry. And she thinks everything is just fine and turns around to go back to bed, when she sees a lamp at the end of the hallway flicker furiously, she goes to it and taps it a few times and the light stops flickering, then she notices that the TV is on in the living room, and she goes down the stairs only to find her husband fast asleep infront of the TV, she rushes back towards the baby-room in realisation that the man in the room with Sam couldn’t have been her husband. She comes into the room, and then she screams. Her husband wakes up when he hear his wife’s terrified scream, and rushes to the baby room, nothing seems out of place, and the kid is smiling at him…but when he reaches into the cradle to take his sons little hand in his, a drop of blood falls onto his hand, and he looks up. To his horrified astonishment he sees his wife “lying” on the ceiling as if it was a floor, she’s dead, blood is coming from her stomach, and suddenly she spontaneously combusted, and the whole room is in flames, he takes his son out of the room, and his other son Dean has awoken, terrified. He tells Dean to take Sam and get out of the house, and Dean takes Sam in his arms, and run out of the house, while their father turn back to see if he can’t get his wife out, but of course the whole room is in flames, and he can’t do anything for her. He runs out. That is when he decides to specialise in the supernatural, to one day catch his wife’s killer.

The show then kicks off 22 years later, when Dean and Sam has become older. Dean has stayed with his dad, as a hunter, and Sam went off to college, trying to lead a normal life, he is about to start his career of as a lawyer, and he’s got a wonderful girlfriend, Jessica. But then Dean shows up, saying that their dad has gone on a hunting trip and he hasn’t been back in a few days. This is bad, and the two brothers set out to try and find their dad, he was working on a supernatural case again….

Well, if anyone’s interested, they should watch this very cool show!

At some point in life, you will stop and look back…

Once I went to Norway for a whole summer. It was expected to become the best summer of my life, but instead it soon turned out to be very chaotic. Nothing went the way it was supposed to, things happend, that I can neither change nor deny. And it haunts me still to this day.
Still I regret so much that happend that summer, some things have become better, some wounds have slowely healed over the years, but one thing never got better again..this is what I will talk about today…

Once upon a time, there was this girl, who fell in love with this guy, and they got engaged. Even though they lived in each their country.
The girl lived in Denmark, and the boy lived in Norway.
So the girl came to visit this boy in norway, and there she met two classmates of the boy, Shiro and Moridin.
The girl became very close friends with both Shiro and Moridin, and they became almost inseperable. But she couldn’t stay for long in Norway, and had to get back to Denmark, and so they all kept in touch over the Internet, and they were all very happy, she thought she’d always have those guys as her very best friends. Little did she know that she was going to ruin it all, by one little mistake.

The time came, when the boy came to visit the girl in Denmark, things went fine at first, but little by little things began to go wrong. The girl was getting annoyed at the boy, and the boy also became annoyed with the girl, but still she followed him back to Norway to spend a month in the summer there.
Things got a bit better between them, but soon things began to crumble once more, the girl found herself in love with one of her friends, little did she know that the attraction was fatal. She started visiting this friend on her own, which at first seemed quite fine, as the two of them were merely having fun watching movies, and playing videogames. Unfortunately one weak moment led to a kiss between the girl and Moridin. This ruined everything. First she kept it a secret, it was a mistake, it was a secret…but she was dumb enough to tell her friend Shiro about it, he was really mad about it, but at first he was happy to know what was wrong. But then she felt she had to tell her fiancè about it, and that is where things got worse. The girl was confused, but she still felt she loved her fiancè, and when she went back home to denmark, it became even more confusing, because all of a sudden Moridin didn’t want to speak to her anymore. She had lost a very important friend because of one single moment of weakness, and she hated herself, she was torn, she was a wreackage, and she felt that she didn’t deserve to have any love. So she tried to think up some lies, to hurt her fiancè so much that he’d leave her, because she felt that is what she deserved from him, but he helt on, no matter how hard she tried to convince him, he kept loving her. One day she was really confused, and stood there in the shower, with a knife in her hand, ready to make and end to all the problems, but Shiro stopped her, he called her up, and talked her out of it, she stopped it, she knew it was stupid…but then something happend, Shiro stopped talking to her aswell..he couldn’t bear the thought of it all anymore, and he just turned his back agains her…she was devastated…she needed Shiro in her life, as her friend, she couldn’t bare the thought…but his descition was not to change.

When she went back to norway again that fall, things had changed drastically…
The once so happy trio, had fallen apart. All she felt now was loneliness, apart from her fiancè who still stood by her side, even though she had a hard time noticing it…she was too frustrated about loosing her two best friends, friends whom she felt she had a strong tie to. But All of the sudden, someone cut the string, and she felt herself floating away…realising only that is was her own stupidity that brought the happy times to an end.

Things got worse, when her fiancè suddenly gave up, he broke up with her, leaving her scarred and bleeding on the ground, a wound that would not easily heal itself again.
She tried desperately to get her friends back, but little did it do any good. They were lost from her grasp, and she couldn’t do anything but to drift around, searching and hoping they’d come back.

Moridin and Shiro had stopped talking to her alltogether, and she soon started searching for someone to fill the emptiness the loss of their freindship had left her with.
Her ex-fiancè Ninja-kun, soon figured out that he still loved her, and he wanted her back, she just felt it was too hard to start over, but she still loved him aswell, but she said to him honestly, that the wound had not yet healed inside her, and that she would need time before she could start seeing him again, another problem she felt, was the distance, she felt she could no longer handle the distance between them fysically. But she hoped he’d move to Denmark one day, so that they could begin a new.
She found a new friend, Koneko, but he could not replace them. He did fill a new part in her heart, as she really liked being with him, and she enjoyed their friendship, but it still was nothing like the good old times she had with Moridin and Shiro, she missed them so much.
Time and time again, she tried to get in contact with them, but she never had any luck with Shiro.
Allthough one day Moridin suddenly wrote to her, that he thought this whole thing had been silly, and that he wanted to be friends again, real friends, like before! And she got one part of the happy trio back! She was thrilled, she was ecstatic, never had she felt this happy. She felt like she got a part of herself back that day, but one part was still missing. Shiro…

Had she lost him forever? she wondered about this often,but as time went by she stopped thinking too much about it, she had met him once or twice since then, but he had changed so much, she could hardly recoignize him. He was a totally different person, no longer loving and caring, no longer the sweet and trustworthy friend he had once been.
He had started taking drinking to his liking, and that totally changed his character. She could only watch in sorrow, nothing could be done anymore. He didn’t even wanna look her way…she even bought him a present once, a late birthday present, and she went out of her way to bring it to him personally, allthough he seemed to think nothing of it, he seemed to just glance at her hatefully, she felt as though she were a bug, which his only wish was to destroy.
She knew she had lost him forever then….
Time has passed, almost 2 years now, and somewhere inside her heart, she is still hoping for her Shiro to return to her, to forgive her. But she knows that the chance for this is one in a million…
